Volunteers urgently needed for emergency search near Parmelee for missing 22 year-old

PARMELEE, S.D. - Law enforcement is calling on volunteers to assist in an emergency search for 22-year-old Savannah Standing Bear, who has been missing since March 30.
Standing Bear is a Native American woman with black hair and brown eyes. She is 5’5” tall, weighs 140 pounds, and has a tattoo of "Gayla" under her right eye.
On April 1, the Rosebud Sioux Tribe activated its emergency preparedness plan to help law enforcement search for Standing Bear in Parmelee and the surrounding areas. Volunteers are urgently needed to assist in the effort.
“Please dress warmly and bring any UTVs or drones if you have them, as they will be valuable in covering the large search area,” the Rosebud Sioux Tribe wrote in a Facebook post.
Anyone with questions about volunteering can text Bob Oliver, the tribe’s Emergency Preparedness Director, at 605-515-1331.
If you have any information on Standing Bear’s whereabouts, please contact the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Police Department at 605-856-2282.
