BEATRICE – Eden Lohrbach, a member of the Nebraska Cornhuskers Women’s golf team, fired a final round of three-under-par 69 at the Beatrice Country Club, to win the 51st Nebraska Women’s Amateur Golf Championship.

Lohrbach erased a five-shot deficit with her final round to defeat Omaha’s Katie Ruge, who finished four shots back after a final round of 78.  Lincoln’s Olivia Lovegrove and Arden Louchheim, both Husker golfers, finished tied for third, another shot back.

In winning the title, Lohrbach was four-over par for the three-day tournament.  With her victory, the sophomore from Ames, Iowa earns an exemption to play in the 125th U.S. Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament, to be held at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon.

43 golfers competed in the state tournament, at Beatrice Country Club.
