White Team dominates from the start for 42-22 win in Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic
NORFOLK, Neb. - The White Team set the tone with a kickoff return touchdown and put forth a dominant effort to beat the Red Team 42-22 in the 13th annual Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic.
It all started with the opening kickoff. Aden Pochop of Battle Creek found the right sideline and took it the distance to grab the early lead. The White squad managed a couple of tackles for loss on the Red's opening offensive possession to set up good field position. Then quarterback Braylon Anderson got to show off his skills. The Oakland-Craig product was nearly perfect through the air throughout the game and quickly made it a two-score lead.
The Red Team had some success with its rushing attack, specifically Tony Palmer of South Sioux City. But it wasn't enough to keep up with the White Team, which led 35-6 at halftime. The White squad coasted in the second half to get the victory.
The victory marks four wins in the last five all-star games for the White Team.
