GORDON, Neb. - A 24-year-old Florida man allegedly wanted in connection with a serious crime involving a child has been arrested in Sheridan County.

Alejandro Cruz Rodriguez, of Opa Locka, appeared in Sheridan County Court Thursday on a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice.

According to court documents, Rodriguez is wanted in Miami-Dade County, Florida, for Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a child under the age of 12.

During Thursday’s court appearance, Rodriguez requested time to consult with his attorney. The court granted the request, and he is scheduled to return on July 17.
