LINCOLN, Neb. — A missing child is now safe after the Nebraska State Patrol located them near Lincoln.

The Nebraska State Patrol says the South Sioux City Police Department had requested an Endangered Missing Advisory to be issued for Nicco Hoffman, a five-year-old boy. His family hadn't seen him for several hours and thought it was possible that he was traveling in a vehicle with his adult sister.

The state patrol issued the Endangered Missing Advisory at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday. Officials say troopers spotted the vehicle traveling west on I-80 between Omaha and Lincoln about 20 minutes after the alert was made.

Troopers say they were able to perform a safe traffic stop and get Nicco back with his family.

The driver, Lilyanna Romero-Hoffman, 20, of Sioux City, Iowa was arrested for violation of a custody order and theft by receiving stolen property $5,000.
