PINE RIDGE, S.D. – A Pine Ridge woman has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for her role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Prosecutors say 31-year-old Kadell Richard worked with others to distribute meth in South Dakota between October 2023 and April 2024. Court documents show Richard helped her co-conspirators arrange drug deals and connect them with buyers.

The case was investigated by the Badlands Safe Trails Task Force, a joint effort of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
