ALLIANCE, Neb. — Two people have been arrested after investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol discovered human remains in rural Box Butte County on Thursday.

Authorities said the remains are believed to be the victim of a homicide. Efforts to positively identify the person are ongoing.

Investigators arrested Tamara Bingham, 26, of Alliance, on suspicion of first-degree murder. Matthew Landreth, 36, was also arrested as an accessory to a felony.

The investigation remains active. NSP said it continues to investigate a missing person case involving 32-year-old Ebram Anthony Sifuentes of Alliance, who was last seen on Aug. 27.

Multiple agencies are assisting in the case, including the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Alliance Police Department, Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, WING Task Force, the Sheridan and Box Butte County Attorneys, and the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office.
