NORFOLK, Neb.— A Norfolk man is behind bars after holding an eight inch blade to a woman’s neck.

Jose Temayo, 39, was arrested late Tuesday night for threatening and holding a woman at knife point.

Norfolk Police say they were dispatched to a call in the 300 block of E Braasch Avenue around 11:15 P.M.

The victim was a female reporting that Temayo had shoved her against a wall holding a kitchen knife to her neck before stabbing the wall with the blade as she got away, reports say.

The victim also reported Temayo made threats to harm her son who was not present at the time.

Officers say Temayo was combative, resisting arrest, and ignoring commands to stop. It took four officers to get Temayo handcuffed and transported to jail.

Temayo is in Norfolk City Jail on charges of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, terroristic threats, 3rd degree domestic assault, along with others.
