SAN FRANCISCO --(BUSINESS WIRE)

Avia's CEO, Vickie Chen, has been named a Finalist for the Best Female CEO of the Year category in the 22nd annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.

Vickie Chen has over 20 years of experience in the gaming industry. Driven by her passion for mobile entertainment, Chen set out to make skill-based games more accessible to players worldwide. In 2017, she launched Pocket7Games, Avia’s all-in-one platform, which has since expanded into a dynamic portfolio of hit titles such as Solitaire Clash, Bingo Tour, and 8 Ball Strike.

Under her leadership, Avia has emerged as a global leader in mobile gaming, engaging millions of players and delivering world-class entertainment experiences. Since 2023, Avia has expanded its portfolio of skill-based mobile games, hosting over 450 million monthly tournaments, surpassing 60 million total downloads, and raising more than $60 million in funding.

As one of Silicon Valley’s few female founders and CEOs in gaming, Vickie is a visible advocate for women in tech and leadership, championing inclusive hiring, building gender-balanced product and data teams, and sponsoring high-potential women into stretch roles. Vickie established mentorship circles and speaker series that connect emerging women leaders with senior executives, and created internship pathways for women and underrepresented students. By pairing technical rigor with empathy, Vickie has opened pathways for more women to enter, stay, and rise in the mobile-gaming ecosystem.

More than 1,500 entries from organizations and individuals in 48 nations and territories were submitted this year for consideration in categories such as Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women-run Workplace of the Year, among many others.

Maggie Miller, president of the Stevie Awards, said, “Now in its 22nd year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business attracted an exceptional range of nominations. We are continually inspired by how meaningful it is for women to receive a Stevie Award and the lasting impact it can have on their careers and organizations. We extend our congratulations to all of this year’s Finalists and look forward to announcing the final award placements on November 10.”

Winners will be announced on November 10 in New York. Avia looks forward to celebrating this milestone with the global business community.
