Lindsay Corporation named Nebraska Manufacturer of the Year
LINDSAY, Neb.— A small start-up in the 1950's from Lindsay is now a force across the globe.
Lindsay Corporation is the 2025 Nebraska Manufacturer of the Year.
The organization got its start in 1955. They went on to build center pivots and the Zimmatic brand.
As time progressed, the started including one of the most unique pieces of equipment found anywhere, the Road Zipper. It takes roads and makes them wider during rush hours to alleviate traffic congestion for big cities across the world.
"We’ve installed our equipment in over 90 counties around the world. And anywhere where you have appreciation for growing more food, with irrigation we know we can increase production when you apply water where it’s needed. So we do see good penetration around the world and I think when you look internationally inparticular it’s just the tip of the iceberg we see lots more opportunity to grow there.” President and CEO of Lindsey Corporation Randy Wood said.
This is the first time the Nebraska Chamber has awarded Lindsay Corp. with the Manufacturer of the Year award.
While it's headquarters have moved to Omaha, the roots built in a small town extend throughout the company, and the honor of being recognized by the home state is a tribute to what they've built from the ground up, through the folks who work there.
“It’s good recognition for our people, I mean they are our manufacturing footprint. The products we produce in most facilities it’s not me and our senior leadership team, it’s the people that come in early every day, get on the line, operate safely, produce high quality equipment, get it out on time to our customers. I think it’s really a celebration of those people, and I hope they are as proud of themselves as I am of them," Wood said.
They have two locations based in Nebraska, and 16 others across the world located on every continent except for Antarctica.
