Colorado man arrested for pound of suspected meth, cocaine during I-80 traffic stop

ROSCOE, Neb. (KNOP) - A Colorado man was arrested Friday morning after Nebraska State Patrol troopers found methamphetamine and cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in western Nebraska near Roscoe.

According to NSP, 43-year-old Eric Anderson of Arvada, Colo., was pulled over at 7:45 a.m., traveling eastbound near mile marker 134 after a trooper saw his vehicle failing to maintain its lane.

During the stop, NSP said the trooper saw a THC vape pen in plain view inside the vehicle.

NSP said troopers searched the vehicle and found a vacuum-sealed bag containing one pound of suspected methamphetamine wrapped in cellophane. They also found a small amount of suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a THC pen.

According to NSP, Anderson was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, no drug tax stamp, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Anderson was booked into Keith County Jail.
