Columbus trackside trunk-or-treat draws huge crowd for spooky fun
Columbus, Neb. – A spooktacular night hosted by the City of Columbus drew over 1,000 people, transforming downtown Columbus into a haven for monsters and superheroes alike.
Guests and residents flocked to the streets, not only for the traditional candy haul but also for a unique community experience that combined trick-or-treating with a family-friendly dinner atmosphere, thanks to a variety of food trucks.
"We just wanted to provide a safe and fun environment for the community to come out and enjoy Halloween festivities," explained Matt Lindberg, organizer of the Trackside Trunk-or-Treat event. The gathering featured multiple food trucks from the area, as well as interactive games hosted by local first responder departments, offering kids the chance to win an array of prizes.
Betsy Eckhart, another organizer of the Trackside Trunk-or-Treat, added, "It's just a great community event. Almost everybody from the community comes here, and it's a lot of people and a fun time to see a lot of creative trucks and candy galore."
The event highlighted the community's spirit and creativity, making it a memorable Halloween for all who attended.
