SIDNEY - Four western Nebraska football teams take the field Friday in the Nebraska High School state football playoff quarterfinals, with full coverage available on News Channel Nebraska radio stations across the state.

In Class C1, Sidney (10-0) hosts Fort Calhoun (8-2) at 2 p.m. MST. The game will air on Cheyenne County Country (95.7 FM, 1340 AM) and stream at newschannelnebraska.com and on the NCN app with Randy Brown and Mark Onstott. The Red Raiders advanced after a 21-14 win over Pierce.

In Class D1, Bridgeport (9-1) will face Sandy Creek (9-1) at 4 p.m. CST on KHAS Radio (104.1 FM, 1230 AM) out of Hastings. Fans back in the panhandle can listen online at newschannelnebraska.com and the free NCN app.

Two southern Panhandle teams remain in the Class D6 bracket. Leyton (8-1) travels to Stuart (8-1) for a 2 p.m. kickoff, while Garden County (9-0) hosts Silver Lake (7-2) at 4 p.m. Both games can be heard on 987 The Big Boy and streamed at thebigboy987.com. Cooper White and Wyatt McMillen will have the call of the Warriors and Broncos while Hunter Arterburn and Bob Hilpert will be in Oshkosh for the Eagles and Mustangs game.
