Single-vehicle crash in Lincoln County kills 41-year-old Hershey man

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Saturday, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash about three miles east of Hershey.

When deputies arrived, they found a pickup truck had entered the north ditch and rolled onto its side. The driver, identified as 41-year-old John Gronewal of Hershey, was the only occupant of the vehicle and did not survive.

Winter road conditions and the lack of seat belt usage appear to be contributing factors, according to law enforcement.

The crash remains under investigation.
