Walz listening tour stops in Northeast Nebraska
NORFOLK, Neb.-- The former Nebraska senator who’s still exploring a run for governor stopped in Norfolk Friday to hear concerns from residents.
Lynne Walz is hosting a listening tour across the state saying that the communities need to know she will listen even before she runs.
Around 30 people showed up to No-fo Pizza and Cafe to voice their concerns, which Walz says are similar to the issues she has heard from Nebraskans this week.
“There was a lot of people who resonated with the fact that they are tired of party, partisanship and politics,” Walz said. “They just want somebody that’s going to be there for them and represent them regardless of what party it is.
Walz told us that she would be running as a Democrat and Nebraskans can expect a decision from her at the beginning of the year.
She took notes on what topics were brought up and said she will be reviewing them, before making her choice.
