VALENTINE, Neb. - Valentine’s Chamber of Commerce executive director has resigned. Jenny Moore confirmed that her last day will be Feb. 4.

Chamber President Zane Limbach said the board plans to hold a special meeting to discuss the organization’s future direction, including whether to begin the process of hiring a new executive director.

Despite the leadership change, several Chamber-sponsored events are still on the calendar. Those include Bull Bash and the Valentine’s Day Celebration later this month, as well as a Coffee and Pub Crawl planned for March.

One upcoming event has been canceled. The Cork Thornton Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been called off due to unsafe ice conditions on Merritt Reservoir and unpredictable winter weather. Organizers say participants may request a full refund or apply their registration toward the 2027 tournament.
