CHADRON, Neb. — The Pizza Hut restaurant in Chadron has permanently closed, according to Staab Management Company, which operated the location. The closure comes just weeks after the restaurant’s Facebook page advertised that it was hiring.

According to its website, Staab Management operates nearly 100 Pizza Hut locations across the Midwest, including restaurants in Valentine, Gordon and Ainsworth. When contacted by News Channel Nebraska, a Staab employee confirmed the Chadron closure but said she was not aware of any plans to close other locations at this time.

The Chadron closure follows a broader trend across the country for Pizza Hut. In recent years, the company has been shutting down older, underperforming dine-in restaurants while shifting toward smaller, modernized locations focused primarily on delivery and carryout — often referred to as “Delco” stores.

It remains unclear whether the Chadron closure is part of that national strategy or related to local factors. Staab Management has not released additional details about why the restaurant closed.
