LAUREL, Neb.— A 10-year-old boy had a rare performance this weekend in Laurel during a youth basketball tournament.

Braxton West, a Battle Creek player, played two games against Norfolk Catholic.

The first of the nearly half-court shots came at the end of the first half of the first game.

When he did it again, his mom said everyone was in complete shock.

The third and final shot came in the last three seconds of the championship game when Battle Creek was down by two. West shot the ball and, to the whole gym's surprise, made the shot winning the game 27-26.

“For 10-year-old Braxton West, it may go down as one of the most unforgettable tournament performances in youth basketball history!” Wests mom told NCN.” What a moment. What a memory. And what a shot… times three!”

Parents and coaches say they have never seen anything like this before.
