  • The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 90 will hold a meeting on Thursday, January 1, at 7:00 PM at the Vets Club in Valentine.

 

  • The Jr. Niobrara Sportsman's Coyote Calling Contest, sign up Friday night, January 2nd at the Gordon Fire Hall from 6-7:30 PM. Contest held Saturday. Steak feed Saturday night 6PM Gordon American Legion, $20 per plate, open to the public. Proceeds go to Jr. Niobrara Sportsman's Club and the Be Kind for Brayton Hathorn Memorial Scholarship.   • A Country Music Jamboree will be held on Sunday, January 4, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Chadron Senior Center. There's no cover charge and everybody is welcome to attend and enjoy the music of Marvin and Jack Jones.

 

  • A Cherry County Commissioners meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 13, at 10:00 AM in the Commissioners Meeting Room at the Cherry County Courthouse in Valentine.

 

  • A Martin City Council meeting is set for Wednesday, January 14, at 5:30 PM in the Community Room at the Bennett County Library in Martin.

 

  • The Bennett County School Board will meet on Monday, January 19, at 5:00 PM in the Bennett County Library Community Room.

 

  • A Cherry County Commissioners meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 27, at 10:00 AM in the Commissioners Meeting Room at the Cherry County Courthouse in Valentine.
