  • The Gordon Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, January 21, at 2:00 PM in the Hutchins Room at Gordon Memorial Hospital.

 

  • The Sheridan County Veterans Service Office will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 21, at 6:00 PM at the Veterans Service Office in Rushville.

 

  • A Sheridan County Republican Party meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 21, at 6:30 PM at the New Christian Youth Center in Rushville. Special guest Lacy Troester will give a presentation on "Defend the Guard."

 

  • The Martin Volunteer Fire Department will meet on Tuesday, January 21, at 7:00 PM at the Martin Fire Hall.

 

  • A meeting of the Kilgore Rural Fire Department Board will be held on Thursday, January 23, at 7:00 PM at the Nenzel Community Building.

 

  • A free screening of "The 1916 Project" will be held on Sunday, January 26 at 1:00 PM at the Gordon City Auditorium followed by guest speaker A. J. Hurley of the White Rose Resistance. Church services and lunch, hosted by Stand In Grace Ministries and the Gordon Berean Church will be held before the screening, beginning at 11:00.

  • A Cherry County Commissioners meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 28, at 10:00 AM in the Commissioners Meeting Room at the Cherry County Courthouse in Valentine.

 

  • Chadron State College has embarked on an in-depth planning process to develop a comprehensive five-year strategic plan and is requesting input from community members during a community planning session on Wednesday, January 29, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at the Platte Valley Bank Community Center in Chadron.   • The Gordon Youth Baseball/Softball Association will hold their annual Soup-n-Pie fundraiser on Sunday, February 9th, at the Gordon American Legion, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Soup and desserts will be served. Free will donations go to help fund Youth Baseball/Softball.
