SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- Registration is open for Western Nebraska Community College's next Construction Trades program, an Entry-Level Electrician training course starting January 9, 2024 on the Scottsbluff Campus.

The Entry-Level Electrical course is intended for students interested in entering the electrical industry. The program is designed to help students get their foot-in-the door as a helper or with a goal of being an electrical apprentice in an 16-week time frame. The class offers basic construction trades skills that lead to specific skills and knowledge for the electrical professional.

The course is scheduled to complete on April 20, 2024, with classes occurring Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6-9 p.m.), and Saturdays from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m at the John N. Harms Center.

Tuition for the electrical course is $3,500. Financial aid is available thorough the Nebraska Career Scholarship and Community College Gap Funding for those who qualify. Upon completion of the program, students will earn a NCCER national certification.

Upon completion of the program, students will earn a National Center for Construction Education and Research certification. NCCER is a recognized leader in construction and maintenance curriculum.
