Gordon, NE – Gordon-Rushville Lady Mustangs McKinley Grover and Haley Johnson signed on to continue their athletic careers in college today at Gordon-Rushville High School.

Grover, the daughter of Melissa Grover and the late Greg Grover, accepted an offer from Wayne State College to throw Shot Put and Discus after a high school career filled with many championships and accomplishments. The Mustang senior will be studying pre-radiography when she starts school in the fall.

Johnson signed her letter of intent to play basketball for Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota, forgoing other offers to run track. Johnson had a record-breaking career in both sports. She set the career assists record for GRHS, finished second in career steals, and scored over 1,000 points in basketball. In track, she holds the school record for the 800-meter run and long jump. Johnson is the daughter of Dave and Robin Johnson of Gordon.
