VALENTINE, Neb. - A popular Valentine restaurant, bakery and coffee shop has announced it’s closing August 10. Old Mill has served customers for around a decade, but the owners, Jerry and Mary Miller, have decided it was time for a change.

News Channel Nebraska spoke with Jerry about what’s next for the business and his family.

“I feel like God is leading us on in life. We’re ready for a new adventure in ministry,” Jerry said.

The Millers have put the business up for sale, including all equipment such as espresso machines and a brick pizza oven. The sale will also include the business name and recipes, offering a turnkey opportunity for potential buyers.

“We want to tell the whole community, employees and customers thanks so much for their support and helping make our dream a reality,” Jerry said.

Old Mill has been a fixture in southeastern Valentine for the past five years, following a fire that destroyed its previous Main Street location.
