RUSHVILLE, Neb. - A 66-year-old woman from East Wenatchee, Washington was arrested following a high-speed chase in and around Rushville. Deborah Ploof faces charges for flight to avoid arrest, resisting arrest, and obstructing a peace officer.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Ploof was speeding in a Lexus sedan on Highway 20, just west of Rushville. When a trooper attempted to pull her over, she initially stopped, but then accelerated and fled, driving on residential streets in Rushville until she stopped again. As the trooper approached her vehicle, authorities say she sped off again, fleeing eastbound on Highway 20. The chase continued for about a mile before Ploof voluntarily came to a stop and was taken into custody.
