VALENTINE, Neb. - Cherry County, Nebraska students could soon benefit from additional scholarship funds, thanks to a new partnership between the Sandhills Area Foundation and Scotty’s Ranchland Foods. As News Channel Nebraska previously reported, the two launched a round-up program allowing shoppers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, with the extra change supporting the Sandhills Area Foundation Scholarship Fund.

In just over a month, shoppers donated $2,148.26.

“Our customers’ generosity in rounding up their purchases will make a tangible difference in the lives of students pursuing higher education. Every small contribution adds up, creating opportunities for local residents to achieve their academic goals”, said Samantha Millard of Scotty’s.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support from our community," said Carolyn Moore, Executive Director of the Sandhills Area Foundation. "This program exemplifies how collective efforts can lead to substantial impacts, and we look forward to sharing updates on how these donations will enhance scholarship opportunities for our youth."

The round-up program will continue indefinitely at Scotty’s Ranchland Foods, offering ongoing support for local scholarships.
