JOHNSON, NE - The Eagles of Johnson-Brock won a tight battle over the Elmwood-Murdock Knights in the Subdistrict C2-1 Girls Basketball Championship on Thursday, 45-42, as heard on Otoe County Country.

Johnson-Brock led at the end of each quarter, but the team could never pull away comfortably from the visiting Knights. The Eagles missed a number of opportunities at the free throw line, hitting just 11/20, while the Knights also had a few missed chances there, going 4/8.

JB was carried by the efforts of Taryn Ottemann, who hit for 25 points, while going a solid 7/9 at the charity stripe.

EM had two players in double digits - Brooke Goudie (13) & Brooklyn Mans (12).

Johnson-Brock moves on to the District Finals next week with a mark of 24-1, while Elmwood-Murdock ends up at 18-7.
