OMAHA, Neb. — A federal grand jury in Nebraska has indicted six individuals on charges related to human trafficking, Acting U.S. Attorney Matthew R. Molsen announced Friday.

The indictment, unsealed March 21, charges Eduardo Jose Perdomo, Michel Martinez-Gonzalez, and Alfredo Zambrano-Hurtado with two counts each of conspiracy to commit human trafficking and two counts of sex trafficking involving minors or through the use of force, fraud, or coercion. The offenses allegedly occurred between Dec. 16, 2024, and Jan. 7, 2025.

Three additional defendants — Sumit Chaudhari, Kavankumar Patel, and Vishal Goswami — are charged with two counts each of sex trafficking involving minors or by use of force, fraud, or coercion, tied to events between Jan. 3 and Jan. 6, 2025.

Perdomo and Martinez-Gonzalez face two additional counts of child enticement stemming from incidents between Dec. 16, 2024, and Jan. 6, 2025.

Each human trafficking charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison, a $250,000 fine, and lifetime supervised release. Child enticement charges carry a maximum of 30 years’ imprisonment, similar fines, and lifetime supervision. Additional special assessments of $100 to $50,000 may also apply per charge.

Officials emphasized the multi-agency nature of the investigation and credited the Douglas County Attorney’s Office with playing a key role in the case’s progress and early charging decisions.

Authorities remind the public that indictments are merely accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
