Man in custody after domestic assault hospitalizes woman

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. - A woman is recovering from serious injuries that she suffered during a weekend domestic assault at a Central Nebraska RV Park.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, authorities were called by the victim’s teenage daughter on Saturday around 1 a.m. to a RV park west of North Platte.
Police found the front door open and 29-year-old Nathan Creel standing in the kitchen.
Deputies then found the 34-year-old female victim on the floor who was unable to move due to pain.
The woman had numerous injuries including severe facial swelling that left both eyes swollen shut.
EMS transported her to a Lincoln hospital due to the severity of her injuries.
As of Monday the victim was recovering and expected to be released within a few days, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Creel was arrested at the scene and booked into the Lincoln County Detention Center.
The investigation remains ongoing.
