Cheyenne County Chamber Foundation, Sidney Economic Development, Cheyenne County E3 collaborate to secure funds 

SIDNEY -- The Cheyenne County Chamber announces a collaborative achievement resulting in recruitment funding.

A combined effort with Sidney Economic Development and Cheyenne County E3 resulted in $29,500 in sponsorship funding from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for talent recruitment.

This award is part of the state’s Good Life Is Calling campaign, which has allocated a total of $414,706 in matching funds for 16 talent recruitment proposals across Nebraska. 

The combined proposals by the Cheyenne County Chamber Foundation, City Economic Development and Cheyenne County E3 and were selected for its innovative ideas and approaches to attract and retain talent in our communities, showcasing a commitment to enhancing the local economy and growth in Cheyenne County. 

“We are thrilled to join forces with the City Economic Development and Cheyenne County E3. This collaboration highlights our county’s dedication to creating an environment where talent can thrive,” said Joe McCarn, President of the Cheyenne County Chamber. “With this funding, our objective is to implement creative strategies that promote career opportunities in Cheyenne County and highlight the incredible quality of life available here.” 

Nebraska Department of Economic Development Director K.C. Belitz emphasized the importance of such partnerships in driving the state’s economy. “Our state is experiencing robust economic momentum,” he remarked. “Nebraska’s employers are actively looking to hire, and collaborative initiatives like the one we’re celebrating today are key to promoting the Good Life and attracting new residents.” 

The funding awarded will support efforts under three key initiatives aimed at enhancing community appeal and bridging talent gaps: 

• Nebraska Talent Attraction Initiative: Matching funds for innovative strategies to recruit out-of-state talent. 

• Nebraska Brand Together Initiative: Support for co-branded marketing campaigns between DED and local entities. 

• Nebraska Thrive & Retain Initiative: Resources for developing projects that enhance workforce engagement and promote the retention of new residents. 

Through this collaboration, the Cheyenne County Chamber, City Economic Development, and Cheyenne County E3 are committed to maximizing the impact of this funding by showcasing Cheyenne County as a vibrant place to live, work, and grow. The joint initiatives will emphasize the area's unique opportunities for professional engagement, community involvement, and quality of living.
