SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - Three Western Nebraska Community College students were recently named to the 2025 Phi Theta Kappa All-Nebraska Academic Team. 

Aminata Yajoh, Austin Neeley, and Tawanda Sibanda were all recognized for their academic achievements, leadership, and service by PTK, the international honor society for two-year colleges.

"We are extremely proud of our students and their accomplishments," WNCC President Greg Dart said. "They are dedicated and passionate students and have earned this tremendous honor."

Yajoh is a first-year nursing student at WNCC. She hopes to become a nurse anesthesiologist. She is active in the campus community, participates in vocal music activities, and serves on Cougar Council and United Leaders.

Neeley earned his associate of science degree from WNCC, studying mechanical engineering. He also played on the Cougar baseball team this spring. He plans to transfer to a four year college and continue his studies in engineering.

Sibanda graduated this spring with an associate of applied science after completing the Diesel, Truck, & Heavy Equipment Technology program. He plans to move to Omaha and work in the transportation industry.
