OMAHA, Neb. - Husker Baseball's bid to repeat as Big Ten Tournament champions is alive.

The Huskers beat top seed Oregon 7-3 in the final round of pool play to advance to the semifinals on Saturday evening against Penn State.

The Huskers jumped out front in the first thanks to a two-run homer by Gabe Swansen and took advantage of three costly Oregon errors to build up an early 3-0 lead. Behind three inning-ending double plays, the Husker defense also contributed to a gem of a start from Omaha native Jackson Brockett. Brockett went six innings allowing one run on six hits striking out four. Will Walsh handled the last three innings allowing two runs on six hits.

Riley Silva also provided Nebraska with offense going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Case Sanderson also picked up two driven in.

Nebraska and Penn State is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT on Saturday evening.
