PETA ‘Hell on Wheels’ truck coming to Valentine

VALENTINE, Neb. - A global animal rights organization is bringing its ‘Hell on Wheels’ truck to Valentine. PETA plans to park its mock pig transport truck outside of Bulldogger’s BBQ and other Valentine eateries that serve pork around noon on Sunday, June 1.
The truck features life-like pictures of pigs on the side of the vehicle along with speakers that play the sound of pigs crying on repeat.
“Behind every pulled pork sandwich is a once-living, sensitive individual who was crammed onto a truck for a terrifying, miserable journey to their death,” said PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman in a press release. “PETA’s ‘Hell on Wheels’ truck is an appeal to anyone who eats pigs to remember that the meat industry is cruel to them and that the only kind meal is a vegan one.”
After Valentine, PETA says it will head to Norfolk and York in Nebraska before driving to Missouri.
