MNAC vs. MAC All-Star Basketball doubleheader Saturday in Big Springs

BIG SPRINGS, Neb. – The top senior basketball players from the Mid Nebraska Activities Conference (MNAC) and the Minuteman Activities Conference (MAC) will meet in the 4th Annual All-Star Games on Saturday, May 31, at South Platte High School.
Tipoff for the girls game is scheduled for 4 p.m., with the boys contest to follow, in Big Springs.
Rosters feature athletes from across western and central Nebraska, including multiple state qualifiers and college-bound players. The girls game will include names like Shawnee Gamble, Zaili Benish and Kaydence Haupt from Leyton, Crystal Dhooge, of Potter-Dix, Payton Fornander, from Garden County, and Johanna Frerichs and Isabelle Reichman from host school South Platte.
The boys matchup will showcase area talents such as South Platte’s Joshua Estrada, Quinten Koenen, Nathan Jacobs and Jarrette Schwartz, as well as Garden County’s Kade Collins and Isaac Olsen, from Banner County.
Coaches for the event include Trenton Kirchmann of Anselmo-Merna, Tom Weber of South Platte, Jed Benish of Leyton, Bo McVay of Sandhills Valley, and James Rushman of Leyton.
