NORFOLK, Neb. – Volleyball enthusiasts, mark your calendars! Friday, June 13, promises a unique spectacle as Norfolk hosts its first-ever "Volleyball Day," a potentially once-in-a-lifetime event set to unfold at Veterans Memorial Park. The highlight? Games played on a specially imported court from City Rapids.

This inaugural event isn't just about a select few; it's a celebration of numerous Northeast Nebraska All-Stars from various teams and regions. The day kicks off with a volleyball clinic from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., where young fans can meet and learn from their favorite players.

"It’s a lot of younger girls," explains Dark Team Middle Hitter Chloe Henn. "They will learn basic fundamentals and hopefully fall in love with the game. We're excited to share our love for volleyball with them."

The afternoon will feature the All-Star league scrimmaging against middle school athletes, followed by the highly anticipated All-Star volleyball game at 4 p.m.

Henn emphasized the excitement of playing on an outdoor court for the first time. "Not many girls get this opportunity, so I'm super grateful. I hope the weather holds up because I'm just super excited to play in front of the whole community. It’ll be a good way to bring attention to this All-Star Game and to all the amazing athletes I'm playing with."

Admission will be charged at the entrance: $7 for adults, $5 for children, and free for those five and under. "Volleyball Day in Norfolk" shirts will also be available for purchase on-site for $15.
