KEARNEY, Neb. - Bryan Health is expanding its footprint in Kearney with plans to construct new medical office buildings just south of its existing Kearney Regional Medical Center campus.

Kearney's City Council on Tuesday approved the rezoning, annexation and final plat for the five-acre site near 6th Street and 22nd Avenue.

According to documents presented to the council, the new development will include medical office buildings that align with the hospital's long-term growth plans.

Officials say construction is expected to begin sometime later this year.

Infrastructure plans include extending sanitary sewer and water lines to the new site along with stormwater detention already in place.
