Norfolk, Neb.- A Nebraska Congressman has been elevated to a high-profile position within his party.

U-S Representative Mike Flood has been elected Chair of the Republican Main Street Caucus after previously serving as the vice chairman.

that's a group of republican lawmakers who say their goal is to advance conservative core values into laws.

Flood says his goals remain the same working for the people of his district.

“When we should be talking about hey are we passing budget bills, we should be talking about what’s the plan on the farm bill, how are we going to meet the funding of October first. We’ve got 60 days let’s not turn this into a fire drill at the last minute,” said Flood.

Flood is the second Nebraskan to chair the group since it was reformed in 2021. Congressman Don Bacon was a co-chair before Representative Dusty Johnson of South Dakota took over in 2022.

Flood is the founder and owner of Flood Communications and News Channel Nebraska.
