Newest PA announcer at Nebraska boasts iconic voice
If you've been to a Nebraska high school state sporting event at any point over the last 30 years, or a UNK volleyball match over the last three plus decades, you may have heard his voice.
Now, we can add Husker volleyball to his resume.
From little ol' McCook to the Bob Devaney Sports Center, Rich Brodersen has an iconic voice reverberating through the athletics as a public address announcer.
He got his start calling UNK volleyball matches in 1990 and this season will be doing both, the Lopers and the Huskers, on top of his regular job working as Development Officer for the University of Nebraska Foundation.
Brodersen has done state track and field, state basketball, state wrestling, Big Ten Conference events and so much more.
Credit to Rich Barnett of KICX radio in McCook for first reporting the story.
It's also a radio station Brodersen has worked at during his tenured career in broadcasting.
