LODGEPOLE, Neb. – Lodgepole will welcome residents and visitors over Labor Day weekend for its annual Old Settlers’ Days, a three-day celebration packed with live music, food, a tractor pull and car show.

Festivities begin Friday, Aug. 29, with the Old Settlers’ Days Kickoff at the Community Hall from 7 p.m. to midnight. Guests can enjoy music from a local DJ along with beverages and snacks from the Steer In.

Saturday’s schedule features a full slate of activities, including a golf tournament in Chappell, a softball tournament at Kastens Field, a tractor pull, a car show, a bake-off, and a supper and magic show at the Community Hall. The Lodgepole Museum will also be open for visitors.

Sunday begins with “Church in the Park” at 9 a.m., followed by a volleyball tournament, concessions, a flower and branding show at the museum, bingo, a burger bash, and a street dance with live music from Victory Underground. A family movie night will cap off the day at Kastens Field.

The celebration concludes Monday with the annual parade at 10 a.m. on Bates Boulevard, followed by a community barbecue and program at South Park. Events include vendor booths, kids’ games, pony rides and musical performances. The day also features a horseshoe tournament and a final opportunity to visit the Lodgepole Museum.
