NCN’s Laurie Larsen honored as Nebraska’s top TV account executive

OMAHA - A News Channel Nebraska account executive is being recognized with the top honor in the state.
The Nebraska Broadcasters Association named Laurie Larsen as the Nebraska TV Account Executive of the Year at its convention on Wednesday. The winner is awarded based on their impact on their community and their organization.
News Channel Nebraska and Telemundo Nebraska account executive J.C. Partida was also honored as one of three finalists for the award.
“Laurie is a tireless advocate for northeast Nebraska and is supremely talented at connecting small-town businesses to big audiences,” Flood Communications CEO Andy Ruback said. “Having two of the three finalists for this award shows the dedication of our staff to serving their communities.”
A Knox County resident, Larsen is known for her relentless support of rural communities. She has launched the Backroads Tour to help drive tourism to rural areas, worked with schools to invite students to create short films showcasing their towns and created original programming to honor veterans.
Senior Vice President Jessica Walker nominated Larsen for the award.
“She spends her days on the road, meeting face-to-face with businesses, and saves the behind-the-scenes work for after hours — because being present and accessible is a top priority for her,” Walker said.
Larsen has worked for News Channel Nebraska for 10 years.
