HASTINGS, Neb.- Babies born during Kool-Aid days are extra special this year.

Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings is honoring babies born at their hospital on August 15-17 as Kool-Aid Babies.

These newborns will receive a Kool-Aid onesie, a colorful cap, and a certificate.

Families and their newest members will also have an opportunity to take a picture with the Kool-Aid Man.

“We always want families to know that we treasure the opportunity to share in the birth of their babies,” Family Care Center Director, Donna Munsell said. “And recognizing Kool-Aid Days gives us yet another reason to celebrate.”

Kool-Aid days is a tradition the town puts on. The drink was invented in Hastings.
