NORFOLK, Neb. — A routine traffic stop for a broken headlight has one Norfolk resident behind bars for possession of meth.

35-year-old Tiffany O’Meara was pulled over by Norfolk Police late Thursday night for a broken passenger headlight.

During the traffic stop, police say, O’Meara’s driver’s license had been suspended for a month due to canceled insurance.

O’Meara was placed under arrest and transported to city jail where a routine search was preformed. A small bag of methamphetamine was found in O’Meara’s underwear waistband, police say.

O'Meara was arrested for driving under suspension and possession of a controlled substance.
