ALLIANCE, Neb. - Western Nebraska Community College celebrated the completion of a classroom addition to the Powerline Construction & Maintenance facility in Alliance.

The project added two new classrooms to an existing garage building, along with new office spaces, restroom facilities, and additional storage for the program. The classrooms create a proper lecture space, while freeing up the old space for indoor vehicle storage.

WNCC utilized funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to complete the project.

The Powerline addition is one of several projects that are complete or near complete. Renovations to the Pioneer Residence Hall were complete over the summer, and the Health Sciences renovation in the John N. Harms Center is still on track to be completed in Spring 2025.
