GRAND ISLAND, Neb. – The newest Nebraska Chick-fil-A restaurant is set to begin operations in Central Nebraska late next week. 

The iconic fast food chain announced its intentions to build its first location in Grand Island in late May 2024. 

Now, over a year later, the restaurant will open its doors at 1390 Conestoga Dr. on Thur. Sept. 18 at 6:30 a.m.

The building is located just north of Red Lobster off of W 13th St. and Highway 281. 

According to the Chick-fil-A website, the Grand Island location will put the franchise at 14 locations in Nebraska. 

Locations outside of Lincoln and the Omaha area include Kearney and North Platte.

A news release from the restaurant says anyone who dresses up in a cow print costume during opening day next Thursday will receive a free entree of kids meal.
