LEXINGTON, Neb. -  One person is dead and two others are injured after an early morning crash near Lexington earlier this week.

It happened just after 3:30 Monday morning at the intersection of Road 429 and Highway 30, west of Lexington.

Dawson county authorities say a pickup truck crossed the center line and hit an SUV.

The driver of the suv, 39-year-old Luis Hernandez-Zavala, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and a passenger in the pickup were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.

Police say all parties involved were wearing their seatbelts.
