BRIDGEPORT — Senior quarterback Nik Weibert threw for five touchdowns and accounted for more than 200 yards of offense to lead Bridgeport past Perkins County 58-6 on Friday.

Weibert completed 8 of 9 passes for 147 yards and five scores, while also rushing four times for 80 yards. Senior receiver Gage Nein was his top target, catching four passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Junior Landon Dean added two catches for 40 yards and a touchdown.

The Bulldogs (3-1) finished with 347 total yards, including 200 on the ground and 147 through the air.

Perkins County (2-2) managed 140 total yards, rushing for 134. Senior Preston Schwanebeck led the Plainsmen with 51 rushing yards on 15 carries. Sophomore Carson Green added 40 yards on five carries.

Bridgeport will host Kimball next Friday at 6 p.m. on 1043 KIMB. Perkins County will look to bounce back the same night when it travels to Sutherland.
