Leyton forces four turnovers, stays unbeaten with win over Potter-Dix

POTTER – Leyton remained undefeated Friday night, forcing four interceptions on their way to a 43-12 victory over their Cheyenne County rivals at Potter-Dix in Class D6 football.
Senior Alec Watchorn piled up 331 total yards for the Warriors. He rushed for 195 yards and passed for 136 while accounting for all six Warrior touchdowns - three on the ground and three through the air.
Sophomore Colt Van Anne added 73 yards of offense, rushing for 15 and catching passes for 58, including a touchdown reception. Leyton finished with 437 total yards, rushing for 218 on 22 attempts and completing 17 of 34 passes for 219.
Potter-Dix senior Dylan Tabor paced the Coyotes with 185 total yards. He rushed for 101, passed for 27, and caught 58 yards worth of passes, scoring both a rushing and receiving touchdown. Sophomore quarterback Callen McConnell added 172 yards, rushing for 51 on 15 carries and passing for 121 on 12-of-19 completions.
The Coyotes tallied 343 yards of offense, rushing for 185 and passing for 158.
With the win, Leyton improved to 4-0 and will host Creek Valley (2-2) on Thursday on 987 The Big Boy. Potter-Dix fell to 3-2 and will face Garden County (4-0) the same day.
