Raiola's leadership after Michigan loss a positive, heading into MSU
LINCOLN, Neb. - After Nebraska fell to Michigan 30-27, Dylan Raiola was blunt about Nebraska sitting on a loss during the bye week.
He also said it’s the point where Nebraksa’s brotherhood is tested and that the team would have to come together. According to him and his teammates, they did just that.
Tight end Luke Lindenmeyer recognized Raiola step uo as a leader.
“He takes charge, he takes ownership,” Lindenmeyer said. “He’s got a fire inside of him that he wants to unite inside of all of us to bounce back this week.”
Nebraska is the best passing offense in the Big Ten and second in the FBS, but sitting 3-1 after Michigan didn’t sit well with Raiola.
He said he took it upon himself to hold his teammates to a high standard in practices since that loss.
“From my point of view, it was just making sure guys aren’t making excuses for themselves” Raiola said. “And making sure we know it’s our responsibility and no one’s going to come hand us anything and we wouldn’t want it any other way."
Nebraska (3-1) takes on Michigan State (3-1) this Saturday at 3:00 p.m. CT.
