SIDNEY – The 51st Annual Sidney Oktoberfest continued Saturday with a full lineup of community favorites, including the annual 5K and 10K run, the downtown parade and the Cruise ’N Class Rod and Roll car show in Legion Park.

The weekend-long celebration drew visitors from across Nebraska, including from Kearney, and beyond for food, entertainment and fall community fun. Tom Broder of Alliance said the trip was well worth it.

“We came down here for the 51st Oktoberfest,” Broder said. “Going out to the beer garden and car show was great. Y’all oughta come out and enjoy yourselves.”

Oktoberfest wraps up Sunday with a community church service and the popular “Running of the Wieners” dachshund races at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds. The full schedule of events and entertainment lineup is available at sidneyoktoberfest.org.
