Alliance police seek help identifying woman in $30,000 bank fraud investigation
ALLIANCE, Neb. - The Alliance Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a woman suspected of committing bank fraud across several communities in western Nebraska.
Police said the woman is believed to have used fake identification cards to withdraw nearly $30,000 from accounts that were not hers. She has targeted Security First Bank in Rushville, First Interstate Bank in Alliance and Platte Valley Bank in Bridgeport, according to authorities.
Investigators said the suspect has a noticeable gap or missing tooth on her upper row of teeth and has been seen presenting fraudulent IDs during transactions.
Anyone who recognizes the woman or has information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Alliance Police Department at 308-762-4955 or email comments@bbcpublicsafety.us. Residents may also report tips to their local law enforcement agency.
The department said it is working with multiple agencies to identify the suspect and prevent additional fraud cases.
