BATTLE CREEK - The future is bright for the young Braves, capping off their season with a 53-0 drubbing of Ponca Friday night.

Battle Creek came out running, scoring on their first two possessions with TDs from Hunter Kruse and Andy Ricchio to stake themselves to a 14-0 first quarter lead. Ricchio also picked off a pass to set up another Braves score, and a 32-0 halftime advantage.

Hunter Kruse and QB Tyan Thompson got in on the scoring party in the 2nd half with scoring runs. Thompson also tossed 2 TDs, one to Ricchio and one to Barrett Koehler. The Braves defense also did their part, forcing 5 turnovers.

Battle Creek ends the year at 3-6, while Ponca falls to 2-7.
