KPD says two teens responsible for weekend burglaries
Kearney Police say two teens are behind a string of business burglaries reported on the south side of town over the weekend.

KEARNEY, Neb. — Kearney Police say two teens are behind a string of business burglaries reported on the south side of town over the weekend.
Officers responded Saturday to several break-ins — including at Wendy's, The Crafty Dog and an attempted burglary at Smoker Friendly.
After investigating police say they identified the suspects and developed probable cause to arrest an 18-year-old. A juvenile petition has also been requested for a 17-year-old.
Both face multiple counts of burglary, theft and other related charges.
KPD says this serves as a reminder for residents to remain aware of their surroundings and report suspected criminal activity.
